Cessna seats

Is there today a sure-fire solution to the problem of the pilot seat of Cessna singles slipping backwards?

We installed the Cessna secondary seat-stop in all of our six aircraft last spring. Cessna was covering the bulk of the cost. It eliminates the hassle of the manual secondary release tied to one rail, and instead replaces it with a seat-belt like strap that is bolted to the floor.

John O:

Wow--was I out of date! That's been around since 1989!
I flew a C-182 and a C-172 four days a week for a year in the early '70s and never had a problem with the seat. OTOH I was very careful with that latch. After that I started selling Pipers and flew Cessnas infreguently.
Thanks,

Ralph H

I did the same for my C-195 several years back - both seats. The only inconvenience I've noticed is that the device requires a bit of extra juggling when the seat must be removed/reinstalled.

As I recall, Cessna provided the kits for no charge and would pay a certain amount of labor for installation. I had them done during other mx.
