Time Period Selection

In the lower left corner of each section, there is a window for selecting how far back to show the threads. It defaults to two weeks. Is there a way for the user to set the default to a different time period?

Richard: I checked -- default is not user selectable.

Good question. As such a low volume forum, I often have to go back six months to find notes. If the default is not a user configurable item, would it make sense to increase it from two weeks to something longer as the AVSIG-wide default?

We originally set the busier sections to a two-week default to keep load times snappy, particularly in view of the bots that crawl the public sections. We've upgraded servers twice since then, so let's see what our current bad boy can do.

"From all dates" always comes up for me, and I've never done anything to change it...

Ralph: I changed all the sections to "all dates" earlier today, whereas some like Hangar Flying had been defaulting to two weeks.

"From all dates" - I guess that will be long enough. <G> Thanks!

Very welcome. I cruised the forum on my phone over breakfast and it was loading just fine on the kludgy browser.
