The new box for my flight sim. This one is to run Prepar3Dv4

Mainboard - Gigabyte Aorus Z270x Gaming 7
Processor - Intel Core I7-7700k
CPU Cooling - Noctua 92mm Air Cooler (NH-U955)
System Memory - 16GB DDR4Trident SDRAM 26666Mhz
Storage - 2 Intel 500GB 600p PCle SSDs
Graphics Card - 8GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 (EVGA FTW)
Power Supply - 850 Watt Corsair

Doing some quick pricing, I'd say a bit over 2 AMUs. As far as a hobby goes (something to keep you out of trouble) that sounds completely reasonable.

I just upgraded my PC after a mobo failure and went for both the I7 processor and the PCIe SSD. That SSD is way fast - even compared to regular SSDs. And the form factor is remarkably small. Won't be long until that whole setup fits in a Raspberry Pi case and has to run in a small box of water. :-)

Wonder if it is stressed for plus 3 "G's" and perhaps negative 1?

I suspect this box is substantially faster than the computer array Bob was calculating prime numbers with back in the day. :)
