Have you wanted to build an RV-12 but were not sure if you had the skills to get started correctly? We can help. Bring or have Van's ship your wing kit to our modern, fully equipped shop in Greensboro, NC and in just one week we'll teach you the skills you'll need to build your '-12. We'll do things at your pace, and when we're done, take your wings with you, or we'll arrange to crate and ship them to you. If a pardner wants to join in, that's fine too. Contact Tom Tyson (A&P) at Rhino Aircraft for more details and to schedule your class. (336) 668-1140

I'm also happy for fill the "no quick-build" void by building any of the RV-12 assembly kits for builders.

I anticipate building mostly wings and forward fuselage kits, where the owner/builder will build the empennage/tail cone and then install the finish kit, the avionics and the engine kit.

Hey, good luck!

But if you're going to do things at *my* pace it might take longer than a week <g>.

Regards,
Joe

Thanks - I really tried to make the ad say what it needed to without adding a bunch of frill.

Speaking of "Come on Down", when are YOU coming down to the shop? I'm buying lunch.

RV-12 QUICK BUILD? NO PROBLEM • BUILDER ASSISTANCE • Are you ready to build an RV-12, but would prefer to have a “Quick-Build” option? Now, for E-LSA registered RV-12s, even though Van's doesn't offer a quick build kit you still have that option. The staff at Rhino Aircraft can assemble your wing or fuselage kit, or even your entire aircraft for you in just a fraction of the time it would take you working on it a few hours every night. We even have a limited number of wing and forward fuselage assemblies already built and ready to transfer to you for final assembly. Contact Tom Tyson (A&P) at Rhino Aircraft for details, schedules and prices. - RHINO AIRCRAFT LLC, GREENSBORO, NC USA • Telephone: (336) 668-1140

Well, Rhino Aircraft is officially a business (with customers) as opposed to just a very expensive hobby - I now have two RV-12s to build and the phone continues to ring off the hook with additional inquiries.

Aviation in the doldrums? You couldn't prove it by me, at least on the the LSA end of the spectrum.

I'm curious. Do you have to carry insurance against someone suing you if they have an accident, and one of your aircraft, parts or whole is in the aircraft that crashes? I hear such horror stories of folks suing the aircraft maker for something that clearly was pilot fault and not the aircraft itself.
