Good grief, this model is half the size of a Cub!

Regards,
Joe

And about $12K just in engines...

Ralph,

>>R/C model control<<

Do these things need more than one person to control them?

Here in Reno the R/C people have a fairly large demonstration out at Stead each year just before the Air Races, and many years ago they had a colossal piston engine model of some kind, four engines I think, and I seem to remember it took at least two people to operate it.

The remarkable thing was that as soon as it lifted off, scale was lost and it no longer seemed to be a model.

Jeremy

Yes, the largest multi-engine models usually have a flight engineer.

Most likely this B-29, wingspan over 20 feet:

Possibly not entirely...

I'd have been more impressed if the gear retracted...although the opening ramp was pretty cool.

I'm surprised it didn't...retractable gear is taken for granted in RC scale modeling.

Flight engineer forgot the pins. [edit] ...needs some little tiny red streamers!
