End of FAA paper license for pilots?
      #275502 - 12/07/09 07:21 PM

I don't always check this section -well seldom.

Anyone know about the need to hand in or replace our old paper FAA licenses before some time in 2010.

Sort of moot for Dux, I don't fly small airplanes anymore and don't need my ATP ticket(s) either.

Regards, and low priority issue

Dux

Thanks guys for those fast responses.

I'll update to the new plastic stuff. Perhaps my grandkids will find them in my files?

Regards,-and remember that my B757 type also listed B767,even though I never was even in a B767 cockpit.
I think my B747 was just for a -200 but my file is back in Minnesota.

Good idea. I always thought the old card was a really cheesy artifact given that it represented one's life's work. This is some improvement, almost as good as the "personalized" credit cards.

Only aesthetically presentable FAA certificates I have are my Designee diploma and my retirement plaque.

As an added benefit, your new plastic pilot certificate will come upgraded with your "English proficient" endorsement, now required by ICAO, at no extra charge!

That's something your grandkids can be proud of.

I'm not sure Mrs. Johnson, my English teacher would agree with that statement on my license.

You can also request it online at:

https://amsrvs.registry.faa.gov/amsrvs/logon.asp

Costs $2.00 and you need the standard CC info. If you don't currently have an online account you can also set one up at the same address.

Got my two cards. Nice looking things.

Of course, no letter about my lapsed CFI.
