I just got back from Ada, OK where I chatted with George Braly while they installed a set of GAMIjectors in my Debonair. He's now building the turbo systems they're installing in the new Cirrus aircraft! He's put about 85 of them in since November!

It was fun to fly Lean of Peak and not get shaken and stirred. Quite smooth actually. CHTs around 330 to 350. It will be fun to get acquainted with all the buttons and knobs in my new panel. At least by the end of our test hops today I had the JPI EDM700 basics figured out. I know how to get to LEAN L mode now.

Congrats, and welcome to the club.

I haven't found Lean L mode that useful. Or Lean R mode, for that matter. I do the Big Mixture Pull to get over into lean territory then sneak up on Peak from the backside. On my 'Toga the mixture adjustment is kind of jumpy, so I usually jump through Peak a time or two. When I'm close to Peak I'll put it in "normalize" mode so that I can really tell where the Peak is, and then back off the right number of degrees on the Lean side. (With more jumping around to get it right. Grrrr.)

Steve: Next thing you know, you'll be back in Ada for a turbo installation.

Nothing like going 200+ knots for 6 hours to cover ground!
