Sign me up!

On second thought, the international division flies 14-16 days a month for < 80 hours of pay, all-nighter at least one way, away from home half the month.

I'm flying > 90 hours a month (offsets their higher equipment rate) in 14-15 days a month, home every night, off all weekends and holidays, afternoons only (allows my university direct deposit, which I'd have to give up with a three day trip schedule).

Pretty, but I'll have to pass.

That looks suspiciously like a computer depiction to me, not a real one? The last AA whale I saw had only three portholes on the upper deck? I.e., a -100.

best, randy

B747-800 at Kai Tak. If you look close you'll see the "checkerboard" in the background. :-))

Yup--we had two shortys for the Australia service, while it lasted. I think we stopped that route around 98, 97 maybe?

As I recall, somebody crunched a wingtip parking one of them, hit the adjacent jet bridge that was out of position. Which is why no one really has any confidence in wing walkers.

No such thing.

Boeing changed the numbering convention after the -400. The new design is the B747-8. No "00".

Yes--the silver NASA bird carrying the shuttle was an old AA -100.

Well, it's fun to look at this computer picture. And the old dog food checker board warning sign during the circle approach to -now long closed- old Hong Hong.

Meanwhile, the merger will continue -and the wide bodies must include B-777/A-330/many Boeing 767's -and perhaps I'm forgetting some -but no B-747's.

I wish Junior would not keep reminding me about schedules I never had -but then, he still has that 40% pay cut, now 12 years old.

Regards,

Dux -driving my now old narrow body Lexus in Tucson.

Given the 19th Century context, he might have more appropriately said "...all the world would be upper-class passengers." <g>

Given where and what he was sailing, I'd give him more credit than that implies.

Could well be, painted some bogus Colombia airline name on it for some film, dunno. All I do remember was it was like that one in that it was a three-holer, gone to Roswell for storage and then to NASA - as did the later JAL whale.
