Black Sunday, book by Thomas Harris. In the movie, Bruce Dern as the crazy blimp driver and Robert Shaw as the Mossad agent trying to stop him. The plot had the blimp driver attaching a canoe-like bomb to the underside of the blimp; the explosion would drive out about 10^6 flechettes to kill everyone in the stadium. (The Sugar Bowl, pre Superdome days?)

There were some good scenes in the movie, but Hollywood couldn't deal with the ending of the book, where the Mossad agent thwarts the attack but gets killed doing so.

There is a TFR around Harvard Stadium. Seems crazy. I was told that the TFR is always over a stadium that can hold X number of people, regardless of whether that stadium is ever filled.

So you're saying we need a bigger one? Careful what you ask for.

There may be a bit of "envy" going on. (What's go enough for one is good enough for the other.)

Yes, as I recall, any stadium that can seat 30,000 or more.

Hi Russel,
I donít know the total solution but TFRs seem inconsequential. Some real solutions may trample some civil liberties.
Our civilized world has such a soft underbelly. Doesnít take much imagination to think up all sorts of easy mayhem scenarios. What happened in Oak City is but one example and I donít care be the one to list them all on the intertube. In fact Iím rather amazed the crazies havenít expressed themselves far more than they have already. Donít know if itís incompetence or time biding because it sure ainít lack of desire.
Civilized leaders of a certain ethnic group could make a difference here, but what I hear is a big silence.

Regards,
Tom Charlton (ruh roh . . . HS in 3,2,1 . . . <No Grin>)
