Corl,

I recall a Quadra 650 and some PB's, some others along the way too. Guess we sorta helped Jobs and the Woz to their current economic positions ;-)

Jerry,

The Radius Pivot was actually kinda cool...you'd physically turn it on its stand to go from landscape to portrait (or vice versa), in stunning 8 bit color <G>. Cost a small fortune, too.

I remember those. It was cool. Sure cut down on the scrolling when reading and writing.

The idea has possibilities as a flight sim display...room for both outside and panel windows.

Even state employees. I'm considering a MacBook, too.

Hello Ed,

I am taking a Digital Photography credit class at the local junior college. So I bought the MacBook Pro there.

Next time I get to the Bay area maybe I can get you to teach me any shortcuts on the Mac and give me a short primer on Unix. Or is that an oxymoron?

Johnny

Thanks Larry,

I think next time I will buy a refurb from Apple. This time we had a time crunch and the guy at the bookstore was helpful in answering a lot of questions.

Johnny

Glad the purchase worked out.
Learning Unix is not something to do unless you really need it. But if
you really miss the DOS command-line (and maybe thought it was crippled and
bought 4DOS), there's maybe something in it for you.

Ed,

Unix is very cool once you learn how to spell it <g>. BTW I've been a
4DOS/4NT user since the early 90s. I have all the DOS commands aliased to
the Unix equivalents so I make only half as many mistakes.
