We had the same thing happen here with a subway accident. Driver was texting, ran into the back of another train.

That one killed my former ATC boss at CMA tower.

Texting and driving is ILLEGAL in California. So is talking on the cell phone without a "hands free" device. I'm not talking about a train, plane, boat, or bus full of people. Every single vehicle.

My thought on this, Oh Grow Up!

Finger pointing is so juvenile. They screwed up. Don't behave like children.

Even if the First Officer gets back his ticket, I can't imagine anyone hiring him with that kind of attitude. I sure wouldn't.
