How do you read the previous comments left by others? I found the link to leave a comment but I can't find where to read them.

Jim,

I feel for you and the rest of the airline folks. It's a tough call.

What are the options?

1) Taxi back to the ramp unload the passengers and push the somewhere. Dang, the weather improves for an hour or so, but we can't get the gate or find the passengers. Then the story reads people left stranded at the gate

2) Cancel the flight. Anyone remember Denver at Xmas.

3) Go and crash. United in DC.

4) ...

No good choices.

Yrral--

That's because it is a brand new BLOG and there are no comments so far. When there are comments, the top of the two comment boxes (at top rioght of column) will show how many have been plosted.
Why don't you be the first to leave one?

Thanks,

Ralph Hood

Jim,

Re: living at the end of a cul-de-sac and not getting plowed out. In our part of the world, the town tries to keep the main thoroughfares plowed, and will get to the short dead end streets when the rest is safe for traffic such as school buses, ambulences, fire trucks and the like.

I was on our Public works commission for several years. And, I agree with the town that some streets have to wait until the more important streets are done. Don't like it? Pay more taxes for more equipment and men, hire your own private contractor, or move to a busy street. Safety first. I lived on a cul-de-sac while I was on the PWC, and I waited.

Frank,

I got stuck one time, and I used my cell phone to rebook instead of standing in a line. I guess when there is so much disruption that even that might not work.

Anne,

When I was a kid growing up in Revere, our street was almost always one of
the first to be plowed. Both the City Engineer and the Assistant City
Engineer lived on our street!
