Inbound to KMSP

A new program I am using allows live traffic to show on the TCAS as shown on this approach to KMSP. The circle is aircraft that is shown in front on the TCAS.

While pointing at you, I said "Smart A--". Anyhow, "Standby One" or you'll cause Dux and Sue to leave for AZ ever earlier!

Re: Inbound to KMSP

This uses a program called Real Traffic that "consolidates data from multiple international ADS-B and multilateration networks to obtain information about other airplanes near the position of your (simulated) aircraft Ė in realtime, live!"

Looks like an approach to 12R (which, same runway, was 11R for my early years at Northwest).

Nope, no snow, in fact beautiful fall weather. Could hit 80 degrees tomorrow.

Heading back to Tucson Nov 1st. Flying this year and shipping a car (a first for us).

Regards,

Dux -have sailed in one of those lakes in the picture. Also no BP for me this weekend as Randy knows -eye doctor appointment. Yep sticks needle in my eyeball. Yes, I'd rather be eating even that so-so pilot soup than the other thing I have scheduled.

I was in Tucson on my way home from Austin on Monday. It was hot. Stopped in Phoenix to visit someone, it was 101F.

Yup and t'wasn't even for your "early years" that the magnetic variation/deviation update caused that runway's number to be changed. Like I'd said here before, we had around 90 or so airports on the system and I quick figured out that I'd just say "landing northwest" (or whatever) so the locals couldn't say something about that "dumbs--t on the VHF not even knowing what the runway was".

And shuddering at the thought of that needle!

Yup, I know, talk nearly every day with my old co-pilot who's retired now out in New River, AZ (few miles N of PHX). (Calling Trig Johnson, who tells me that he can only get the new test Avsig?)
