Re: Looking for a J-3 Cub to purchase

There's just something funky about sitting in back, watching the controls move up front...including the turnbuckle overhead that goes left and right with aileron <g>.

Hi Ralph,

I always liked the long-nose perspective from the back. Easier alignment of fuselage with ground-track down the runway.

Also fun with first time passengers . . . what? You mean the pilot flies from the back seat? Oh my. Then there’s the hand propping thing<g>.

I always liked the obvious connection, in a Cub, of turnbuckles’n cables linking the slipstream over the ailerons to my fingers. You can feel every little burble of air flowing past the airplane and controls.
