Re: Futuristic Russian Combat Aircraft Concepts

Dear Jack E. Hammond and Ray Tackett!

Looks like you right, i mistaken a little.

I saw all this pictures on russian aviation forums. We just laught a little here about all of this computer collages because of even appearance of this "concept planes" doesnt looks like appearance and base structure of fighters of 5th generation.

Better let me to tell something i know from free info in Russia.
As i understood, russian aircraft companies now finishing development of some new fighters in following of program PAK-FA ("Perspektivnyi aviatsyionnyi kompleks frontovoi aviatsyii" - perspective flight complex of combat aviation).
PAK-FA program in many of it's elements looks similar with program ATF and JSF in the USA, and Russian Air force planning to get 2 types of fighters as the USA planning to get F-22 (as base supersonic fighter) an F-35 (as multirole fighter).
PAK-FA program foresee development of two fighters:
1. Fighter with supersonic cruise speed (~1300-1400 km/h) and ~2600-2700 km/h maximum speed, with maximum RCS less than 1 meter quadrant (as F-22 too).
2. Fighter vertical take-off and landing with supersonic cruise speed too (something like F-35 but with more advanced flight possiblies).

Nobody knows now how new russian fighters appears exactly because of after events with Yak-141 and F-35, when Lockheed factically cheats Yakovlev company, all constructor bureaus in Russia stops to release information about their work process. That why we here for a long time "operated" with rumors and little pieces of free information only.
All literature and internet was full of info about "new super-fighter of bad russkies" (we calling it "fairy tales from Hollywood" :D )... Some of us (fans of aviation in Russia) even collecting stupid rumors and posting it in topic "yankee and their gang about us" in Russian Air force forum. It's funny and sad in one time...
Even here, on this forum respectful J. Wiley said someting like "bear designing new super-fighter"... It's funny and sad in one time.
Russian aviation companies doesnt builds "super-fighter". We just needs to create something better than F-22 and F-35. And we can to do it. As always.
We (just common soldiers of Air Forc reserve (me, for example), aircraft engeneers and just fans of aviation) collected all free information at Russian Air force forum, analyzed it, asked engeneers, who working on new russian fighter (they stayed silent for most of questions), had a discussions (it was really passionate discussions sometimes)... We awaited for OUR fighter of 5th generation.
Many of guys here made suppositions of appearance of new fighter. Look at here:
http://paralay.com/t50/50200.jpg
http://paralay.com/t50/rz2.jpg
http://paralay.com/t50/t5050.jpg
http://paralay.com/t50/rustam.jpg
Information about new russian fighter becamed more and more correct and clear, but real appearance of it are still a secret.

Some months ago Suchoi corp clamed first PAK-FA fighter of 5th generation are ready to fly. Woooh, guys, you even cannot to imagine WHAT begins on Russian Air force forum after that info appears in internet...
Some of guys here was in shock! Somebody, who working with Suchoi sometimes said about... something... what flyes already...
Of cause, we there begins to scream on forum "Show it to us! Enough of this american monopoly with fighters of 5th generation! We want to know how OUR plane appears and we want to know it's possiblies!".
But answer of one of main desigener was "Guys, dont hurry! We made a new fighter better that new F-22 of most possible... friends. We promised this fighter to you, we made it at last.".

I forgot to say - russian PAK-FA programm - it's something like "people project". It begins after Soviet Union stops it's existance and when all russian aviation industry factically stopped it's existance too.
When desigeners and engeneers from Su, Yak and MiG russian avia constructor bureaus said:
"We lost everything. But WE ARE still alive, we still have scientical resources. We can to create best planes in World, but our new goverment doesnt needs it. Lets begin a new people project of new russian fighter without goverment finances! People, if you can to take us million dollars - thank you! If you can to take only one cent - same thank to you! We cannot to feel ourself as weak loosers. Russia are not a country of "3th World" and we are not cave barbarians! Help us, and together we would leaders in the sky!"
Guys, you know, after that words millions of russians begins to take their money for development work of new fighter. And me too. Nobody demands us to do it, but we know we can to create best military and civilian planes. We believe in guys of Suchoi, Mikoyan-Gurevich and Yakovlev can to create a fighter what would be best fighter of 5th generation. Of cause, most of info about development process of new fighter are military secret, but i ensured guys know how to use money of millions of russian people who believe them.

And now i need to tell some words about another one russian fighter of 5th generation:
Somebody calls it as Yak-205 or "russian JSF" as a joke. Appearance of that fighter are also a secret, but we have an info about it structure already. This is picture with possible appearance of that plane:
http://paralay.com/t50/t501.gif
It will be two-engine fighter with vertical take-off and landing. Both engines has independent 100 degrees turning jets with controlable thrust vector. Fighter has approximately 1200 km/h cruise speed and 2500-2600 km/h maximum speed. We havent any correct info about weapon of this plane, but i can say one great thing: This plane flyes already and it's better than JSF F-35.
Nothing miracleous - many of parts of F-35 are factically russian, but Lockheed even forgot to draw russian flag on first experemental F-35 near of flags of another countries, who developed that plane. And also because of that story with Yak-141 and F-35 Yakovlev corp working on new Yak-205 (?) in secret mode. :(

Oh, looks like i wrote so much... i think thats enough for begin.

Guys, if you want, i can to continue about russian aviation and projects. If you want to ask something - go on! I would be glad to answer.

With my respect and best regards.
Zanin Anton.
